If you haven't brushed up on your Lyxonian history or never took it in school, here's your chance to learn it:
Lyxorian grade 8 history textbook #4, chapter 7:
It has been a legend that once, long ago, Pokémon roamed free around Lyxon, and coordinators trained them for all kinds of competitions. Now there aren't though, so sometime in history they all died out, though nobody knows why. A while ago, scientists proved that the legends were true, with Pokémon DNA (for more information on DNA look at the science textbook). The fossilized DNA proved no use for a while, sitting in museums, until a scientific outbreak not too long ago. Professor Cubone, a well known scientist in Pokémon studies, found a way to recreate the species effeciently and easily. However, there was a defect in the first prototype, incomplete DNA, creating an unstable balance in several experiments. Recently, she figured a way to splice the genes to create full strands, morphing the physical and internal Pokémon. Many humans have dedicated themselves to science now, using their Pokémon to dig up DNA and deliver it to the lab for experiments. You yourself will probably become a coordinator or a scientist, and use these described tactics, so study up.
